XL Super Bowl The Opus was created to celebrate forty years of the Super Bowl. It is the definitive celebration of the biggest game in American sport.
The Opus had to showcase everything Super Bowl on an unprecedented scale. Running to 850 pages the Opus includes every aspect of the big game, from the fans to the commercials, and of course a look at every Super Bowl game.
We collaborated with a team that included esteemed Sports Illustrated editor Rob Fleder, american football writer Michael MacCambridge and renowned picture editor Dot McMahon to create the Opus.
Our designers developed a system to record the play-by-play of a game. The system allows for all types of plays; rushing, passing and kicking. Each of the forty Super Bowl chapters includes a gamechart that shows every play of that game.
The ‘MVP Edition’ remains one of the greatest pieces of American sports memorabilia, containing the signatures of every living MVP from the first forty Super Bowls.
